Called, Not Crushed

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

—Isaiah 41:10 (NIV)

Reflection
Life doesn’t always give us the circumstances we would have chosen. Sometimes storms crash into our lives through no fault of our own. We’re left standing in the middle of chaos, wondering, Why me? Why now?

Recently, I’ve been walking through a season that has felt overwhelming—filled with betrayal, instability, and hard choices about protecting my children. None of this was part of my plan. But through the tears and the wrestling, God has gently reminded me: You were chosen for this.

Chosen not for the pain, but for the purpose. Chosen not for the chaos, but for the calling to protect, nurture, and anchor my children in faith. God has entrusted me with their hearts, and though the weight feels heavy, His strength is carrying me.

Encouragement
Maybe you’re carrying something today that feels too heavy—grief, loneliness, betrayal, or uncertainty. Remember, you are not forgotten. God has not abandoned you. He has chosen you for this season and He promises to strengthen you in it.

Even when the storm feels unending, the One who commands the winds and the waves is holding you steady. You don’t have to do this alone.

Prayer
Lord, thank You for reminding me that I am not walking this path by myself. When the storms rise, help me lean on Your strength and not my own. Give me courage to face the battles in front of me and peace that passes all understanding. Use even this season for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
